Urban Jewels

Urban Jewels is a photographic journey of the hidden treasures of The City of Brotherly Love, featuring artwork by participants in SJCS’ Community Participation program. Along with the wonderful photographs taken by the participants from SJCS, we will be exhibiting interesting and evocative art created from found and recycled objects, as well as reclaimed art; art which has been cast off but redeemed and loved by the finders. Please join us at the Nichols Berg Gallery for our July show. Some of the artists featuring their art created from found and recycled objects are Sue Finch; Germantown, PA, Ellen Benson; Philadelphia, PA, Barbara Ann McConville; Marlton NJ, Susan Finch; New York City, Amy Finch; Waterloo, IA and Patti Wilson; Wyndmore, PA.
The show will kick-off with an opening reception on Friday, July 1, 2011, 5 – 9 pm at the Nichols Berg Gallery and will run through July 30th. Gallery hours are Wednesday 10-3 PM and Thursday through Saturday 10-5. Proceeds from the sale of SJCS will benefit SJCS’ participants.
